This week I've picked another Helen Cooper book without realising. Delicious - A Pumpkin Soup Story.
A charming book with lovely illustrations and great use of alteration.
A fed up squirrel and cat have to get round the problem of having no pumpkins when they're little duck friend, rather like a fussy toddler (I'd say much worse actually) won't try anything else. They get there in the end!
There is a little side story going on at the same time with some bugs trying to save the soup that is being wasted.
Little Monster Did It also by Helen Cooper is currently on my list of wanted books for G.
